Robert N. Curto

Robert Curto, 73, Passed away on February 7th, 2018 in in Stuart, Florida. Born in Patterson, New Jersey, the son of Frank and Etta Curto, he spent his childhood and young adulthood in Patterson and Pompton Lakes N.J. In 1970 he moved to Vero Beach, Florida to raise his family.

A strong work ethic was the foundation of Robert’s life, and he quickly worked his way up through the construction industry, starting as a roofer in the cities of N.Y. and N. J., ultimately graduating to being responsible for large multi-story projects. He owned his own construction company for a time, and was always known for being able to meet the challenges of large and complicated projects. He was a problem solver.

He played multiple sports throughout his life, and as a child was happiest on the ball field. In high school, he played football, baseball, and basketball, but football was his true love. As a young man, he played semi-pro football, and as an adult, continued to take up sports such as tennis, handball and waterskiing.Cars were a constant passion in his life, and Robert owned many in his lifetime, including muscle cars and convertibles. His favorites were the 6 Corvettes he owned, covering 5 different eras from the original to the C6.

Robert was a devoted father tohis daughter Andrea and his son Robert, always valuing family above all else.He was proudest of his 5 grandchildren, and watching each of them grow and flourish, gave him the most joy of all. He was so very proud of them.

He is survived by his Son Robert Curto (Stuart, FL)and his family: wife Laureen, and children Nicholas and Nina, and his Daughter Andrea Curto-Randazzo (Miami Shores, FL) and her family: husband Frank, and daughters, Isabella, Lilli and Gigi.

A private family Memorial was observed.
